Day 01
Arrive Paro airport - Drive to Thimphu
- Arrive at Paro airport and receive by your guide
- Drive to Thimphu (65 km, 1.30 hrs)
- Stop at Tamchogang to see the oldest iron chain bridge built by Dupthop Thang Thong Gyelpo in 1645
- Continue drive to Thimphu (capital city)
- Check in hotel

Day 02
Thimphu Sightseeing
- Morning drive to Dodena and hike to Cheeri Monastery (Institute for Buddhist studies) - 1hr hike one way
- After the hike drive back to Thimphu
- Visit Phagri Zampa Monastery (another monastery for Buddhist astrology studies)
- Lunch in town
- Afternoon visit Memorial Chorten, Buddha Point, and Tashicho Dzong

Day 03
Drive Thimphu to Punakha
- Drive to Punakha (85 km, 2.30 hrs)
- Stop at Dochula Pass (3100m) to view the Eastern Himalayas including the highest mountain Gangkhar Phunsum
- Continue drive to Punakha
- Lunch at Chimi Lhakhang restaurant

Punakha Exploration
- Hike to Chimi Lhakhang (30 min) - Temple of the Divine Madman
- Visit Punakha Dzong
- Check in hotel

Punakha to Phobjikha
- Morning hike to Khamsum Yuley Namgyel (30 min) - Temple of the 5th King
- Drive to Phobjikha (85 km, 2.30 hrs)
